About Us
The beginnings ...
The SiiHasin Bike Projects aims to positively support the healthy development of our youth and community members on the Navajo Nation. The program is supported by Diné WE CAN, a 501(c)3 non-profit community-led organization incorporated in 2018 working in the southwestern section of the Navajo Nation. We aim to create a community that will empower our participants through the sport, emphasize the importance of goal-setting, promote healthy lifestyles, and recognizes the positive effect of K'e.

Build-a-Bike Event
Every kid in every community deserves the opportunity to know the joy of riding a bike while enjoying the freedom to explore the natural world on two wheels. These events provide a life-changing experience. It’s about team-building, fun, community, and discovery.

ACA / MBAA / Local Bike Races
These events have provided the opportunity to ride and race mountain bikes for our participants who would not have the resources to participate in the sport otherwise or who would gain from the physical, mental and emotional benefits of mountain biking.

Bike Repairs, Maintenance & Skills Training through Fix-a-bike to Earn-a-bike
Amazing Opportunities and Partnerships...
Skills bike park/trail at Indian Wells Elementary School is a local bike trail created to provide a path for local youth bicyclists to enjoy during after-school programs and as a bike team. And is the 1st of its kind on the reservation.
Funded through a donation to Holbrook Unified School District, Outride and an MBAA grant.

Is a future vision where the bike program’s educational workshops go mobile through Navajo Nations' vast landscapes and communities to provide hands-on learning experiences and fun!
